I write about voices, about mountains and islands, about belonging and becoming and food and love. I write fiction and non-fiction and into the space between: essays and novels, stories and portraits, poetry and flash fiction.
Online and in print, my features, short stories and poetry have been published in Music & Literature, 3:AM Magazine, [PANK], The Island Review, Lighthouse, Paper Darts, The Literateur, Cheap Pop (Honorary Mention, Great Lakes Commonwealth of Letters Micro-Fiction Contest), filling Station, Jungftak and McSweeney’s Online Quarterly (a piece recommended by the New Yorker's Page-Turner blog). My short stories have been printed in two collections: Dancing Bear Books' Little Book of Fairy Tales and Modern Grimmoire, a book of fairy tales by Indigo Ink Press. I am currently seeking representation for my debut novel.
I review opera and contemporary music for Bachtrack in English and French, and previously looked after the culture section of Grand Genève Magazine. I also write a travel blog, LE&VING, with my photographer partner, and a personal blog at The Flood Flowers.
